A Normal Monday

I woke up, showered and washed my hair. Dillon got up even before me, swimming at the COM at 5am! Around 715 (after I fed the dogs, made my tea and prepared Stuart’s oatmeal), I wake the kids up. On this particular day Reese and Lee were sharing Reese’s top bunk. They mosied to the kitchen for cereal. Reese had braids all over her head, a special request for curly hair. Dillon went in to wake Stuart (he was quite groggy.)

Reese got dressed then sat on the fireplace where we all haloed takenout her rubber bands (until Reese got mad at lee and told him he wasn’t allowed to help hehe.)

After dropping Reese off at MCA (1st grade, Mrs Cowan), the boys and I drove to Market street to pick up our groceries. We had to run in for ground beef, and on the way out the boys were so excited to see the Fall pumpkins.

Lee requested we head to Dennis the Menace so we did! I poked the boys feet from under one of the playgrounds and they shrieked and begged to play it again and again.

Then it was time to head back to MCA for lunch duty. We got to see Reese and help wipe tables and sweep.

After that, we dropped Lee off with Mimi. She had offered to watch him til Reese got out of school.
Of course Mimi and Boo came out to the car to say Hi to stu (who proudly told them how he helped “wipe table!” He seemed a bit sad to not get to stay at their house with Lee sonon the way home I promised him we would play “Bear Coming” and so when we got home we ran to my bed and hid under the covers (he loves when I peek my head out of the covers then scream. After some time he requested and popsicle so we sat out back while he ate it.

Soon dad stopped by for “quick hello.”

Stu took an afternoon nap and I relaxed with a cup of hot green tea (my usual) and watched a British design show on Netflix.

Mimi dropped off Lee, but took Reese back to their house for a bit tonhave special time. Before they left Reese hopped out of the car to tell me about something that happened at school and we all (Mimi, myself, Lee and Reese) discussed that perhaps her PE teacher had simply had a bad day.

Around 4, Ryan arrived and Taylor and I got to catch up while the boys played (aka picked pecans and climbed the fence.)

After they left, Mimi and Boo popped back over and we all headed to Dos Compadres for dinner (since Dillon was at Manor Park for the Pastos quarterly dinner. We all laughed when Stuart shoveled his beans and rice in and took a giant bite of taco. Lee laughed so hard saying “He’s in his own world!”

It was a fine day, full of people I love so very much.  (The photos have posted out of order )
