Fun In the Son was wonderful! I went into the trip feeling nervous and left knowing Dillon and I were meant to be there. We felt honored to help Jason (Dillons best friend and youth director) in leading the youth group from Memphis and had a blast on the beach. Here is our group~

What We've Been Up To
After my last day of summer school, we headed west to Lubbock. In a quick whirlwind weekend visit, we stayed with my grandparents, met Jason and his fiance Michelle, watched the World Cup with old Latenite friends, had dinner with Collin and Cassie and attended Sunday morning worship at Westminster. The only pictures we took were with my
grandparents right before we left Lubbock to head to Midland. We stayed in Midland for a little over a week...it was rainy so we had to get creative on activities but we enjoyed sleeping in and eating out and came back to D-town refreshed from lots of quality time with family and friends. My sisters, Mom and cousin Holly took a girls trip to Ft Davis for one night too~
Dillon has been loving the excitement of the World Cup! (Doing homework simultaneously)
Here are some recent crafts- my mom taught me how to use her sewing machine so I made 3 cute pillows out of some adorable fabric I found. I also painted an old dresser white to give it a fresh face-lift...I may use it as a buffet table or tv stand, we'll see.
We head out tommorow to South Padre for the week where we will be youth leaders at 'Fun in the Son'- Im nervous but excited!!!
Side note: Dillon first "heard" about me at Fun in the Son in Padre when he went there the summer after his senior year in the youth group...my sister Katie (who went as a youth volunteer) showed him my picture and told him that we could be friends at Tech that fall. Little did they know....
